Your Privacy Choices
Last updated: August 23, 2026
This page describes rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, and equivalent rights in other US states.
The short version
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We never have.
Under California law, "sell" and "share" have specific meanings that go beyond exchanging data for money. We do neither, under either definition. There is no opt-out for you to exercise, because there is nothing to opt out of. We also do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for any purpose requiring a right to limit.
What we collect
Using the categories defined in California Civil Code section 1798.140(v), we collect identifiers (email address, account ID, IP address in server logs); customer records (email address and purchase history); commercial information (products purchased, transaction amounts and dates); internet activity (aggregate, cookieless page view data); and limited geolocation — country only, for tax purposes, never precise location.
We do not collect protected classifications, biometric information, audio or visual information, professional or employment information, education information, inferences or profiles, or sensitive personal information. We also do not collect payment card information — Stripe processes payments and we never receive card details.
Full detail on why we collect each category and how long we keep it is in our Privacy Policy.
Who we disclose it to
We disclose personal information to service providers only, for business purposes only, under contracts that prohibit them from using it for anything else: Stripe (payment processing and tax), Supabase (database and storage), Vercel (hosting and analytics), Resend (transactional email), and Cloudflare (DNS and security).
In the preceding 12 months we have not sold or shared personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Your rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; access a copy of the specific pieces we hold; delete your personal information subject to legal retention obligations; correct inaccurate information; opt out of sale or sharing (not applicable, as we do neither); limit use of sensitive personal information (not applicable, as we collect none); and non-discrimination — we will never charge you more, give you less, or degrade your service for exercising these rights.
Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have substantially similar rights, and we handle all such requests the same way.
How to exercise them
Email legal@jamalknyte.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject line, and tell us what you want. You can also delete your account directly from your account settings, which takes effect immediately.
Verification. We confirm you control the email address associated with the account, usually by sending a verification link. We ask for nothing beyond what is needed to confirm it is you.
Timing. We confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days. If we need more time we will tell you, and may extend once by a further 45 days as permitted.
Cost. Free. We may decline manifestly unfounded or excessive repeat requests, and will explain why if we do.
Authorized agents. An agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission signed by you. We may contact you directly to confirm.
What deletion actually does
Before you request deletion, understand the consequences. Your email address, account, and feedback are permanently erased. Your licenses are revoked and you lose access to everything you purchased — download your files first. Order records are anonymized, not deleted, because we are required by tax law to retain sales records, a recognized exemption under CCPA section 1798.105(d). You are also removed from the mailing list.
Global Privacy Control
We honor GPC signals. Because we do not sell or share personal information, the signal does not change our behavior — but we detect and respect it.
Notice of financial incentive
We do not offer financial incentives in exchange for personal information. Our mailing list is free to join and free to leave, and joining gets you nothing you could not otherwise have.
